…are waiting to be made, and we've provided
the means to make them. Whether you are playing with your kids at
the Pinnacle Rock Preserve, or sharing in their first catch from
the stocked 30 acre lake, the memories you make at Waterton Lakes
will last a lifetime.
Island park
Island Park is a 5 acre island surrounded by 30
acres of water. Families of all stages of life will enjoying playing
at the Island Park and recreation area located in the heart of Waterton
Lakes.
Pinnacle rock preserve
Towering up to 30 feet high, formations of layered
limestone and shale create a unique field of pinnacle shaped rock
formations. Hundreds of millions years old, these unusual formations
stand like sentinels in the forest.
HIKING
We've created a meandering foot path that encompasses
the natural beauty of Waterton Lakes. Enjoy watching butterflies
dance from wildflower to wildflower as you walk along the banks of
the lake listening to the orchestra of birds and frogs as they go
about their day. Wind through the hardwood forest as you admire in
awe of the rock sculptures that Mother Nature has provided. If you
are lucky you might catch a glimpse of a Doe with her Fawn as they
make their way from the woods down to the lake for a drink.
Fishing
Put your canoe in or fish from the banks to enjoy
a relaxing, yet exhilerating experience of catching Largemouth Bass
or Bream from the well stocked and managed lake. The lake was established
over 30 years ago and with the ongoing management, and absence of
fishing pressure the lake has produced some trophy sized fish—waiting
for you.
